New Book: Seeing Triple!
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".
-Philippians 4:13
Hey everyone!
It's Karisa :) Just wanted to let you know about the new book I'm working on, Seeing Triple. Below's a quick synopsis. Make sure to check it out when it hits the stores!
The Gray
sisters have it all. Everything they can dream of is right within their
reach,
that is, when they live in Sunny California. But when their Dad
announces a
move to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, everything seems to spiral out of
control. And
the Cape is far different than the
place they once called home. Through this extreme change of
surroundings, the
three girls find themselves more lost than ever but knowing exactly who
to call
to, to bring them home. Natalie Gray, a fashionable and outgoing girl,
dreams
of being elected senior class President of her new high school. This
goal seems
to be a piece of cake, as she was elected President of her last school.
But the
more time she spends in Cape Cod, the more she realizes how different
these two
little beach towns really are. A charming Homecoming date, a perky best
friend,
and an arrogant but strangely intriguing debate partner all send her
head, and
her heart, spinning. But are people always really what they seem to be?
Madi, a
sporty and easygoing tom-boy, will do anything in order to receive that
elusive
soccer scholarship to her dream college. Through dividing her time
between goofing
off with friends and shooting goals on the soccer field, she seems to
fit right
in to their new home in Massachusetts. The only thing she can’t wrap her
head
around is the one boy that turns the caterpillars in her stomach into
butterflies. If boys are supposed to be just brothers, then why do her
palms
always get sweaty when she’s around Daniel Adams? But when God sends her a challenge that knocks her off her Nike Airs, will she find the strength to get back up again? Finally, Aubrey, a
genius
with a soft heart, just wants to make some new friends and get over her
fear of
public speaking. Life seemed to be perfect and predictable back in Santa
Barbara.
So when things take a downward turn, she finds herself in a place she
can’t get
out of. And for the first time, she finally realizes that life isn’t
just
another math equation; it’s a hundred times more challenging. Through
their similarities
and their differences, the three girls are able to help each other in
achieving
their dreams, and survive through their last year in high school. Seeing
Triple
has morals and characters than anyone can relate to. Natalie struggles
with acceptance
and popularity in her new school, and eventually learns that succumbing
to God's will
is really just letting go. Through the people and situations that God
throws
her way, she is able to see a different lifestyle from her own: a world in
which trusting God is really the answer to every challenge. On the other hand,
Madi
lives the carefree but determined way of life, knowing exactly what she
wants
and how she will get there. Yet when life seems to take a different path
than
the will of her own, she’s able to learn patience, forgiveness, and
taste the
complete serenity of God’s ultimate plan for her life. Lastly, Aubrey
Gray wants
nothing but to find a place where she belongs, and some friends to go
with it
wouldn’t be so bad either. Throughout her experiences in a place far
from home,
she is able to gain a confidence and spark that she never knew she could
have
before, through reflecting the bright light of Jesus to her new campus.
And the
Gray sisters never knew how quickly strange little Cape Cod could soon
become their
one and only home sweet home. These three crazy and silly but lovable
teenage girls
will send a smile to your face and tears of laughter to your eyes. It’s a
book
you have to buy and a book you can’t put down and by the end of the
novel, you’ll
find yourself wanting even more.
